Deputy Minister for International Affairs at the Ministry of Road and Urban Development Asghar Fakhrieh Kashan touched upon designation of financing companies for receiving the remaining aircraft purchased from Airbus, Boeing and ATR companies saying “the tender for appointment of financers was held and five foreign companies received bidding documents and will submit their proposals by mid-September.”
He noted that one or two companies with best offers will be then selected for the venture.
The official emphasized that financial contracts with foreign financers will be independent of the trade deals inked with the three aircraft manufacturers.
Fakhrieh Kashan later stated that the five willing financers comprise companies from China, Norway as well as international European firms. “Market analysis is being made in order to determine the amount of investment by financing parties proportionate to the number of aircraft scheduled to arrive on each delivery.
In the first financial package, a total of seven aircraft will land in Iran, maintained the official underscoring that smaller packages and lower number airplanes in each deliveries will lead to better outcomes in the country’s aviation market.
